Can I make changes to a direct message to a client after it’s been sent?

Direct Messages (DMs) are part of the medical record and cannot be deleted. If you accidentally send a message to the wrong client or include incorrect information, the best course of action is to send a follow-up DM explaining the error.

Example Follow-Up Message: “Apologies for the earlier message. It was sent in error and is not applicable to your pet’s case. Please disregard it. Here is the correct information: [insert accurate details].”

This approach ensures transparency while maintaining the integrity of the medical record.
