We've made improvements for easy prescription fulfillment! Clients are now able to submit a prescription send request directly from the Vetster app. You no longer need to send a fax request to our Support team or submit a Pets Drug Mart email with your Rx.
While there are various options for fulfilling prescriptions in Canada, we’ve aimed to make the process streamlined and efficient for our veterinary partners. Continue reading for a step-by-step guide on how to write prescriptions on Vetster!
- Prescriptions can be added from the Rx tab within your appointment or the appointment page once your appointment has been completed.
- Select Add freeform Rx and enter the required information. You’ll also be asked to select whether the prescription can be filled at a local human pharmacy.
- Once you’ve completed entering the prescription details, select Add prescription. Your client will be notified that a prescription is now available.
We’ll take care of the rest. When your client receives a notification of their prescription, they'll request to have it sent to their local or online pharmacy directly from within the app. Should you require any additional support, please reach out to our Customer Experience team.
Note: Please avoid emailing the Rx PDF to the client. It contains your personal contact information (necessary for a pharmacy to be able to contact you for verification of the script if needed), and a prescription cannot be filled by a pharmacist if presented directly by a client.
