What advice can be provided during a telehealth consultation to a pet owner in another country from where I practice?
Telehealth consultations are aimed at those who need support when local vet care is not possible such as clinic closures, distance, or mobility. These are telehealth-only appointments and are best suited to provide general advice on topics such as symptoms, nutrition, weight management, nutritional supplements, training & obedience, animal hygiene, life stage management, preventive wellness, and most importantly peace of mind that their pet is in great hands. You can also provide support in teletriage to help pet owners understand their best next steps. Prescriptions are not possible during these appointments. This is the same advice that can be provided in a non-VCPR/UHC enabled region.
